How it Works to Sell Your Home with BuySelf Realty

Your home can be on the market as soon as you want with BuySelf. Here is how it works:



1. Buy Online. Purchase one of our Home Selling Packages or our individually priced MLS listing service on our website using your credit card or a check. The website will then have you print out copies of a State required disclosure and listing agreement for you to read and sign. Call or email us, we are happy to help answer your questions.

2. Price Your Home. If you do not know what price you want to ask for your property, order the Price Your Home service which helps you determine the best price for your home.

3. Tell Us About Your Home. As part of the ordering process you will complete a list of questions about your home that enable us to list it in MLS. If an old MLS listing of your home exists, then you don't need to supply much of the information unless it has changed. You may also complete the MLS information form we provide you. Leave out any information you do not have readily available and we will work to find it. At any time you can call or email us with questions and we are happy to help.

4. Your Home Active in the MLS. We review your listing information and enter it into the Realtor's Multiple Listing Service of Minnesota (MLS). We activate your listing when you want us to. Rush service is available for no extra charge. Many times our customers receive calls from Realtors within a couple hours of submission. These Realtors (there are 11,000+ of them) have ready, willing, and able buyers that want to buy your home.

5. Ready your Home for Buyers. We recommend you thoroughly read our acclaimed Home Sale Online Guidebook which gives you expert advice on how to prepare your home for buyers to maximize your selling price and minimize the number of days before your home sells. As always, we are happy to answer any of your questions about preparing your home.

6. Yard Sign Goes Up. For packages with yard signs, your sign will usually be installed within five business days.

7. Your Supplies Arrive Quickly. For packages with purchase agreements or key lockboxes, these will be sent to you immediately and usually received the next day. Rush service is available.

8. Buyers See Your Home. Realtors will call you to schedule showings for their buyers, and by using the key lockbox you can keep your home secure and avoid the inconvenience of needing to be home before or after every showing. We show you the security procedures the real estate industry has used for 30+ years to keep agent lockbox showings safe and make problems virtually unheard of.

9. More Buyers Call. Buyers without a Realtor will call you and ask for information about your home. They have seen your yard sign or advertising on the many websites your home will appear on (Realtor.com, PioneerPress.com, and many more). You then schedule a time where you can show them your home.

10. Receive the Offer(s). One or more Realtors will call you to present an offer. The presentation will highlight the price, closing date, other terms, and whether the buyer is pre-approved. The forms presented are nearly always on the same standard agreements included in the Purchase Agreement Package. For buyers not represented by a Realtor, simply follow the step by step instructions to fill in the handful of blanks on the Purchase Agreement Package (includes forms, guide, & examples). 11. Closing Arrangement. With the purchase agreement completed, you are ready to set up closing. We are happy to arrange your closing for you. For more information, see our Closing Arrangement Service.

12. Closing. Part of your closing costs includes a Professional Real Estate Closer that answers all your questions as you sign the handful of standard forms necessary to sell your home.

You Save Big. If the buyer did not have a Realtor, then you pay no selling commission at closing. You have just saved an average of $8,072 on the sale of your home. If the buyer was represented by a Realtor, part of your closing costs will be the selling commission to their Realtor of 3% (recommended) of the sale price which you determined in step #3 above. You have just saved $6,000 on the average Twin Cities home.
